How to get from Zurich to Geneva

It takes just over three hours to drive the 172 miles from Zurich to Geneva.

  1. Leave central Zurich via Sihlquai.
  2. Follow signs for Bern/Basel/Route 1 and keep left to continue on A1H.
  3. Continue onto the A1/A3 toll road and remain on for 70 miles.
  4. At the 37-Wankdorf junction, use the right two lanes to follow E25/E27/A1.
  5. Continue on the A1 for 62 miles.
  6. When you reach the 17-Ecublens junction, keep in the two right lanes for E25/E62/A1.
  7. Continue for 30 miles.
  8. Keep left at the fork and follow signs for Evian/Geneve-lac to arrive.

How to get from Zurich to Basel

Basel and the beautiful River Rhine is just over an hour’s drive from Zurich. Follow Butzenbulering to the A51, then follow signs for the A1/E60/Bern/Basel. Merge onto the A51 towards Basel and take the E60/A3 exit. Continue onto A2/A3 and take Exit 3-Basel-Streeet Johann towards Basel to arrive.
