On the coast
With a rental car, you’ll also have easy access to Florida’s stunning coast. Daytona Beach is less than an hour’s drive from the airport - enjoy its incredible beaches perfect for swimming and surfing. The city also boasts a historic pier, with indoor and outdoor rides and classic arcade games for all the family.
Daytona Beach also has the famous Daytona International Speedway complex, home to the Daytona 500 motor race. If you don’t have tickets to one of its major events, you can still take a tour of the stadium from one of its open-air trams.
For something completely different, the Kennedy Space Center is just an hour down the coast. With great attractions including the Atlantis shuttle, Saturn V rocket and the US Astronaut Hall of Fame, you don’t have to be a science buff to have a great experience.
